Hello Winter! It appears that we have gotten more snow than predicted. Once again proving that science is never 100% predictable. The snow storm has many ties to our current topics in both 5th and 6th grade Science. For 5th graders its about the seasons and the position earth is in as it orbits the sun. For sixth graders it's the change of state of matter.
This week 5th graders will continue investigating the Solar System. We will also have a visit from Pam on Monday and we will be going to Dodge on Thursday to learn about energy.
6th graders will focus on understanding Open and Closed Systems and learn what the Law of Conservation of Mass means.
Remember there is no school on Friday, December 14. This is a Mid-Quarter grading day. Students should make all attempts to turn in missing or late work. You want the best possible grade for the mid-term report.
Hope you all enjoy the snow!
