Happy Friday!
We have had a good week in science this week. 5th graders are observing two monarch larva that were given to me. We are watching them eat and grow. Today they are 7 mm long. 5th graders are also learning that when looking at data, scientists can come to different conclusions. Their D&T hypothesis are looking good. If they are not finished it need to be turned in on Monday. I will be displaying the pictures of their hypothesis outside the classroom. Stop by and take a look.
6th Graders have focused on understanding how to read a ruler. We are focusing on the millimeter and centimeter. This will lead to a future unit on volume and density. They also should be finishing their Ornithologist article. This is a project that will be turned into Language Arts and Science. Science for content and Writing for editing and proofreading requirements.
