November 4, 2012

We are in the final week of the first quarter of school.  Students who have missing assignments should make every effort to complete these assignments before Thursday, November 8th.  In science all of the assignments for first quarter are in the gradebook and any new assignments will be for second quarter.

Pumpkin Chunkin' was a great success again this year for the 5th graders.  Many creatively designed catapults were made.  The catapult that launched the candy pumpkin the farthest was built by Tyson S.
His catapult launched a pumpkin 52 feet!

Sixth Graders are currently studying chemistry.  They have had a lot of practice calculating density of objects.  We will begin to look at changes in matter this week.  (How and why matter changes from a solid to a liquid or a gas, liquid to a solid or a gas, gas to liquid.)

Remember there is NO School on Friday, November 9 as it is End of the 1st Quarter.

Don't forget to vote on Tuesday!
